  • Dr. Marco Versiani
    Dr. Versiani received his degree in Dentistry in 1992. Since 1994, he has been working part-time as a dentist in the Dental Department of the Brazilian Military Police in which he held the grade of Colonel. He maintains a private practice limited to Endodontics in Minas Gerais state, Brazil, since 1994. He is a certified specialist in Endodontics (1994), Didactics (1998) and Bioethics (2003). Dr. Versiani concluded his Master Degree, PhD, and 3 postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Sao Paulo by the year of 2015. In the endodontic literature, he contributed with 3 books, 36 book chapters, and more than 130 peer-reviewed papers in high impact journals. Currently, he is a member of the scientific advisory panel of the Journal of Endodontics and the Editorial Board of the International Endodontic Journal. Dr. Versiani lectures worldwide focusing on his main research interests that are the influence of root canal anatomy on endodontic procedures using non-invasive 3D X-ray micro-computed tomography and CBCT, towards the improvement of both chemical and mechanical debridement of root canals.
  • Dr. Gustavo De-Deus
    Dr. Gustavo De-Deus received his DDS degree in 1996 and his certificate in Endodontics in 1998 from Rio de Janeiro State University. In 2004, Dr. De-Deus received his Master Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and his PhD was done at Rio de State University in Endodontics (2009). Dr. De-Deus has more than 250 scientific studies published (~180 studies in the JOE and IEJ) and has more than 150 lectures in more than 40 countries about Endodontic Infection, Single-visit Endodontics, MTA, Instrumentation Techniques, Irrigating Solutions, Root-Filling materials and Contemporary Endodontic Treatment. His studies had received over 12,000 citations in the Google Scholar database up to July 2022 (https://bit.ly/3vLE4y6) rendering a h-index = 63. He is associate Editor for Root Fillings studies and Biomaterials of the International Endodontic Journal. Dr. De-Deus is Associate Professor in Federal Fluminense University. Dr. De-Deus maintains a private practice limited to Endodontics in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, since 1999.
  • Dr. Ghassan Yared
    Professor Ghassan Yared completed his endodontic training at University Paris VII (France) and obtained his M.Sc. from the Lebanese University (Lebanon). Professor Yared has been extensively involved in teaching. He was Head of the Department of Research and a member of the Department of Endodontics at the Lebanese University, Lebanon. He joined the University of Toronto, Canada in 1999 for a full-time position as Director of the Endodontic Undergraduate Programme. He was granted tenure in 2004. Professor Yared has been elected for 4 consecutive years as the "Best Teacher of the Year", and has received the "Master Bruce Howard Award for Excellence in Teaching" the highest teaching award at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. Professor Yared has supervised the research projects of graduate endodontic students at the University of Toronto and has published extensively in peer-reviewed international endodontic journals. He has given numerous lectures and continuous education courses worldwide. Professor Ghassan Yared has practiced endodontics exclusively in Canada for 20 years. He has recently moved to Lebanon where he practices endodontics part-time on a benevolent basis. Professor Yared is the inventor of single file endodontics and asymmetrical mechanical reciprocation, the basis of modern reciprocation. His research is currently focused on root canal disinfection. He introduced a new concept for the management of root canals with a non-instrumentation technique.
  • Dr. Anil Kishen
    Dr. Anil Kishen is a Professor of Endodontics, the Dr. Lloyd & Mrs. Kay Chapman Chair in Clinical Sciences at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He is also the Graduate Coordinator for the Graduate &Post-Graduate Education. He is cross-appointed with the Department of Dentistry, Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. Dr. Kishen has published over 230 peer-reviewed journal publications, 24 book-chapters and 3books. He is a co-inventor in 12 patents. He has presented over 180 invited plenary and/or keynote lectures. Dr. Kishen has received several awards and honors including; The Enterprise Challenge Innovator (Singapore), W. W. Wood Award (Canada) for excellence in Dental Education and Journal of Endodontics Publication Awards for the year 2015, 2016, 2020, 2021,2022. He is also the Recipient of the prestigious 2020 Louis I. Grossman Award from the American Association of Endodontists for cumulative publication of significant research studies that have made an extraordinary contribution to endodontology. Dr. Kishen serves as the Associate Editor for the Journal of Endodontics, BMC Microbiology, Clinical Oral Investigations, and Frontiers in Dental Medicine. His research at the University of Toronto is funded by different Federal and Foundation grants.
